San Carlos. Where is it?
When people think “San Diego”, the first thing that comes to mind is “beach” and they overlook our mountainous trails, scenic lakes and affordable housing. San Carlos is situated south or the 52 freeway, north of the 8 freeway, and just west of the 125. Many residents of San Carlos, call it a hidden gem in America’s Finest City. The famous Mission Trails Regional Park and Lake Murray are in the heart of San Carlos and attract San Diego residents from all over the county. The affordable housing prices brings people that want a spacious single family home, for the same price as a 2-bedroom condo at the beach. Because I am a Realtor, I am going to “dig” further into San Carlos housing affordability and availability and talk about the “things-to-do in San Carlos” in a later post. San Carlos is saturated with both single family homes and condos/townhomes. Average prices of a San Carlos single family residence runs in the $600k’s for 3-5 bedroom/2-3 bathroom homes. Average price of a San Carlos condo/townhome runs in the $300k’s for 2-3 bedroom/1-2 bathroom units. Wouldn’t it be nice to own something only a short drive from the beach, a walk to the lake, and double or even triple the size of what your family could live in? Being a resident of the area, please reach out with questions to help convince you that San Carlos is a great, hidden neighborhood to reside in.
